Why Deleting Extraneous Pages Improves Document Professionalism and Security
Eliminating accidental disclosure of confidential notes, internal drafts, and blank sheets
When preparing contracts, financial audits, or client deliverables, documents often accumulate obsolete draft sheets, internal reviewer comments, or accidental blank pages produced by scanner feeder jams. Sending documents with blank or unwanted pages appears careless and increases file size unnecessarily.
More importantly, failing to remove internal draft pages can lead to severe security risks—inadvertently disclosing confidential pricing calculations or internal legal notes. Deleting unwanted pages using our visual tool ensures that only final, approved content reaches your clients.
How In-Browser Object Tree Pruning Works
Fast, non-destructive removal of indirect objects without re-encoding remaining pages
Standard PDF tools often attempt to re-render and re-compress remaining pages, which can introduce compression artifacts, degrade image quality, and alter vector typography. Our WebAssembly engine takes a much cleaner approach.
By directly modifying the PDF document page dictionary (the /Pages object) and adjusting the corresponding Kids array, our engine disconnects unwanted page objects while leaving the underlying data of the remaining pages completely untouched. This results in lossless visual fidelity and near-instantaneous download speed.
